A SATURDAY NIGHT VICTORY IN 2002 Heres some history on Keiths racing career
2001-Keith Russell's racing career started when his younger brother Aden Russell, couldn't make the race, and let Keith race in his car. Though Keith was flipped over by Chris Edwards, he was instantly hooked on racing. By the time he had half of the season in, using Aden's car, Keith had managed a 7th place in points, and won a giant trophy for his accomplishments.
2002-When 2002 came around, Keith had his own car,and a winning engine built by Mike Galloway. Throughout the season, Keith had accomplished two things...
1.10 trophies throughout the season, being 8 feature wins, 1 b-main win, and a second place points trophy
2. the record for most feature wins in a single hobby stock season
Keith after winning the last race in 2003.
2003-In Keith's last well known year at Hesston Speedway, he was driving his own car, had his good motor still in it, and was doing great. That year, he recorded 2 feature wins, and a whole fricken lot of second place finishes. Doing this in strategy, he pulled through on the last race, and finished 1st in the points, winning a little clock with his name on it .
2004-In 2004, Keith didn't do a whole lot. He ran a few races in other peoples cars, and blew up the engine of one of them.
2005-This is the year when Keith came back to racing. Mike Galloway, the engine builder, bought a car, a let Keith drive it. Tho they didn't have the car until the middle of the season, Keith was back, and was ready to race.
2006-This year, Keith, still only making half of the season, won a few heat races, and that was about it.
Here is a picture of Keith (top) in 2007, racing against an opponent.
2007-This past year, Keith had a pretty good year. Still, he ran the car owned by Mike Galloway. Though he had only half the season to win, again, he pulled out 2 wins, and an 11th place points victory.
2008-This year, Keith is either racing his hobby stock, or he may move up to the late model class. The car will still be owned by Mike Galloway.
